THE BIGGER BREAKFAST

The Bigger Breakfast is an ecumenical initiative of the churches together in Kelvedon and Feering.  On the first Saturday in the month we meet together to pray for our two villages, rotating around each of the churches in turn.  We begin at 8.00 a.m. and finish at 9.00 a.m.

2010 dates and venue as follows:

3rd July - United Reformed Church

Due to the current economic climate, every breakfast will have a prayer slot for those affected by the downturn and rising living costs. This means prayer for those who are unemployed, have debt problems and all the associated issues that go with financial strain.

In addition, starting in February, we will revisit praying for every person in every street in the villages with opportunities for those who have knowledge of anyone who lives in those streets to pray for specific people.

Then there will be a further slot for something specifically related to the following issues.

•  Schools. Staff, Pupils ,Governors etc
•  Medical Practices- Doctors,Staff, Patients etc
•  Parish Council. Councillors- Staff- etc
•  Youth in both villages
•  Family life in both villages

The host church will choose which of these issues are to prayed for in their session and advise by the end of the month previous what their choice is so that everyone can be advised.

Please do email if you have any specific prayer requests you would like to be prayed for a the Bigger Breakfasts.

We meet at 8 a.m. and have breakfast together, generally a bacon roll and maybe a danish pastry with tea or coffee.  At 8.15 there is generally a 10 minute "thought for the day" on an agreed subject.  Members of the different churches then lead short prayer sessions with anyone joining in prayer (or of course just silently praying) as they feel led.  We finish at 9.00 a.m

Everyone is very welcome, just turn up.
